The MLC Season has ended and now the off-season training begins with Liam Plunkett Cricket

Major League Cricket (MLC) was founded in the summer of 2023 and has become America’s first and only world class T20 cricket league. The league was established to elevate the sport of cricket in the United States and create a lasting professional platform for players and fans alike. Most games are played in the state-of-the-art Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas, which has been converted from a baseball park. Additional games are being played in the Oakland Coliseum, Oakland and the Broward County Stadium, Florida respectively.  Alongside that, the MLC are committed to the future of cricket in the US through the development of international quality stadiums, elite youth academies and high-grade training facilities.

One of the key drivers behind the MLC’s rapid rise is the calibre of international talent that is attracts and has already attracted inside the league. There is already a strong concentration of players from cricket’s powerhouse nations such as Australia, India, South Africa and England. Not only do they raise the overall standard of play in the MLC, but they will also provide the domestic players the rare opportunity to train alongside global cricket superstars who have been and done it all. This type of influence will fast track their development as they gain exposure to the different playing styles and professional mindsets, in turn growing American cricket as a whole.

The third season of MLC just came to a thrilling close on Sunday, as MI New York edged out the Washington Freedom by just five runs in a nail-biting finale. With the now two-time winners eventually taking the crown, fans were treated to a whole season of action-packed finishes, further growing the international attention for the sport stateside.

Because the MLC continues to grow its success across the pond, it therefore grows the popularity of cricket in the U.S. As interest rises, players, aspiring cricketers and parents of young children in the U.S are beginning to seek high quality training and mentorship to help them develop their cricket game.

Helping shape the future of cricket in the U.S is none other than our very own England World Cup winner, Liam Plunkett. Liam now plays within the MLC for the San Francisco Unicorns who finished third in the latest season. With his international experience Liam is hoping to bring his skills to grassroots level with his platform, LPC.

LPC offers accessible, high-quality online coaching for all ages, starting from as young as 8. From beginning friendly courses covering the fundamentals as someone that has never played cricket, to more advanced cricket coaching courses that upon completion, have a certificate and accreditation. The coaching courses have a core pathway and a specialist skill development, for however the customer desires.

In addition to the coaching courses, LPC also offers an ‘LPC Strength and Conditioning’ program. This is to ensure that the customer can access cricket specific endurance and agility training that will be perfect for a cricketer’s off-season and pre-season training. LPC is designed to support every stage of a potential cricketer’s journey and it’s not just for upcoming American cricketers – these online courses are available to future cricketers around the world.

As MLC continues to expand its influence and establish itself, platforms like LPC play a vital role in training the next generation of cricketers. With an internationally experienced player like Liam Plunkett at the forefront, access to world class coaching and training has become more widely available than ever before.
