Development Cricket Course

5 Module(s) & 7 Lesson(s) with a focus on Team Organisation, Team Strategy, The Coaching Process, Technical, Tactical, Underpinning Principles, Physical, and Mental.

Module 1: Organisation and Safety - 1 Video (10 mins)

Hear from our LPC Women & Girls coaches the best ways to maintain organisation and structure in your sessions while also ensuring that participants remain safe.

Module 2: The Coaching Process - 1 Video (13 mins)

Going through the coaching process, expanding on the:

  • Who
  • What
  • Why
  • How

Module 3: Technical and Tactical - 1 video (10 mins)

Delving into the differences between Technical and Tactical and how as coaches you can make these more player focussed.

Module 4: Underpinning Principles - 1 Video (5 mins)

Looking into the underpinning principles of basic cricket skills to provide coaches with the understanding to deliver effective sessions with accurate coaching points.

Module 5: Physical and Mental - 1 Video (11 mins)

Explores the different physical and mental challenges thrown at players and coaches and how to overcome these. This module then proceeds to dive into how as coaches we can present physical and mental challenges to our players to force them to overcome them and grow as players.

Resources - 6 Tasks, 1 Workbook, 1 Video

Our resources module contains the learner workbook which can be downloaded and completed in the participants own time which will then be reviewed by one of LPC Women & Girls coaches who will provide feedback on the work completed. There is a task in the workbook that requires the supporting video also included.

There are also tasks provided that coaches can take and deliver in their own sessions.

COURSE OVERVIEW

An online coaching course to support women and girls in cricket through safe and inclusive learning - covering the coaching process, technical and tactical skills, key principles, and physical and mental development for all levels of the game.

  • Who is the course suitable for?

    This course is aimed at coaches who are looking to expand on already gained understanding and/or coaches who have previously completed the Women & Girls Rookie Coach Course or gained a basic coaching understanding elsewhere. This is an intermediate level course.

  • What is the key skill learnt?

    In this course you will be taken through team organisation and safety in more depth, the actual coaching process, differences between technical and tactical decision making, the underpinning principles of certain skills and what components are considered mental and physical learning.

  • How do I access the course?

    Once enrolled users can find the course in there "User Dashboard" on the LPC site.

  • What do you get for your money?

    The course focusses on progressing a coach from a helper to a leader. The stepping up process of what it takes to actually lead and deliver sessions.

  • When do I have to pay?

    To access the Women & Girls Coach Development Course users must either pay up front, or using Klarna's instalment system.
