Sponsorship Announcement: England XI In The Women’s European Championships
LPC is delighted to announce its support of the England XI in the upcoming 2024 Women’s European Championships. The championship, held in Malaga, Spain brings together teams from across Europe to compete in what’s been called the ‘cricket version of the Euros’. The England XI are defending champions having won the first championship in 2023. We’ll be cheering the team on the whole way and have our fingers crossed for a second victory.
What Is The European Championship?
The Women’s Cricket European Championship features 10 teams who, split into two divisions, will compete for the Challenger or Premier Division trophies. This is a doubling of size from the 2023 championship, where only 5 teams took part. The England XI will be taking on the Ireland XI, Scotland XI, Netherlands XI & Italy XI in the Premier Division of the cup which runs from December 15th to 20th. For more action, tune in from December 9th to 14th to see Spain, Austria, Germany, Jersey & Czechia in the Challenger Division Cup.

The team, led by captain Chiara Green, and coached by Jennifer Jackson-Tullett will hope to be there, but will have to fight off some top contenders for that number 1 spot. We’ll be keeping up to date with all the results and highlights so keep an eye on the Liam Plunkett Cricket socials for the latest shares, updates and news.
Supporting Growth of the Women’s Game
This tournament is a milestone event in Women’s European Cricket and we’re proud to be a part of this. The launch of our Women in Cricket courses, in collaboration with LPC, is just the beginning of how we want to support the growth of the women’s game. The courses themselves, led by Courtney & Lauren Winfield-Hill provide younger players with a female-led environment in which they can learn new player and coach skills. We want women & girls to feel fully supported whilst they develop and grow their cricket proficiency.
The England XI is already representing the women’s game on the world’s stage and we couldn’t be happy to support their efforts in Europe.
